Glass paint technology has evolved to meet the ever-increasing demand for back painted glass products. Where previously looked upon as a feature to be used sparingly, back painted glass has developed into a fundamental element of contemporary design and is often used as the primary wall finish.
Back painted glass can be manufactured to fit any shape and size and can incorporate cut-outs for requirements such as plug sockets, light switches and access panels.
Back painted glass can be used to inject striking colours or bring harmony to any commercial space. Coloured glass is widely used for Commercial Washrooms and Tea Point kitchen splashbacks and has other uses such as table-tops, office desk tops, shower walls, door panels, accent walls, retail display areas, cabinets and counters, and in elevators and office spaces
The process involves the application of a durable paint to the back of the toughened glass which is then foil covered to protect the paint and to produce maximum colour quality. Low iron glass is used so to ensure accurate colouring, as regular glass has a green tint to it that may affect the finished colour. Colours can be chosen from RAL, Pantone, Dulux and BS Colours and we will strive to match any other colour chart. Coloured glass samples can be made up upon request.
