Stevens Washrooms delivered a distinctive washroom refurbishment for Kinetic Games, completed in October 2025. The brief called for a scheme that celebrated the character of the existing building while introducing a refined, contemporary edge. Our solution balances rich, dark surfaces with warm timber tones and robust, modern finishes to create a dramatic yet welcoming environment.

Design Concept

The design contrasts deep, matte Egger U999 PM Black laminate to the walls and integrated cubicle systems with the original exposed timber beams framing the windows, highlighting the building’s rustic charm. Vanity panels in Egger H1318 Natural Wild Oak MFC echo the natural wood tones, adding warmth and texture. The palette is anchored by Matera Lava tiles from Solus Ceramics, offering a concrete-effect finish that ties together the dark laminate and raw timber elements.

Outcome

The completed washrooms achieve a sophisticated fusion of rustic character and modern design. By thoughtfully combining dark laminate, natural timber tones, and concrete-effect tiling, we have created a bold, immersive environment that reflects both the heritage of the building and the contemporary identity of Kinetic Games.
