Alder Castle

Stevens Washrooms was commissioned to transform the communal facilities at Alder Castle, with works completed in February 2025. The project encompassed superloos, changing rooms, and shower areas, delivering a modern, durable, and highly comfortable user environment. By combining bold colour with warm, natural finishes, we created a premium scheme suited to a contemporary workplace setting.

Design Concept

Our design approach focused on bold character and refined detailing. The rich tone of Egger U311 Burgundy laminate is balanced by the elegant, natural grain of Shinnoki Ivory Oak veneered MDF, resulting in a striking yet welcoming aesthetic. In the shower areas, rain-style shower heads and low-profile white trays provide a clean, modern feature that contrasts effectively with the deep red tiles.

• Cubicles, IPS & Panelling: Laminate cubicles, wall panelling, and IPS systems in Egger U311 Burgundy for a strong, cohesive visual identity and robust performance.
• Timber Detailing: Shinnoki Ivory Oak veneered MDF to introduce warmth, texture, and a high-end feel to the communal spaces.
• Showers: Rain-style shower heads and sleek, low-profile white shower trays against deep red tiling for a contemporary, hotel-style finish.
• Ancillary Elements: Integrated vanities, mirrors, lighting, lockers, and benches to deliver a fully resolved, user-focused environment.
• Works Package: Strip out, demolition, builders’ works, and full installation managed by Stevens Washrooms.

Outcome

The Alder Castle refurbishment provides a bold, design-led upgrade to the building’s communal facilities. Durable materials, strong colour contrast, and carefully coordinated detailing combine to create superloos, changing rooms, and showers that are both visually distinctive and highly practical for everyday use.
